I’m planning a vacation to St Thomas. How much spending money should I budget for each day. I don’t plan on dining out expensively often, maybe once or twice, the rest will be like grocery shopping or fast food. I would like to do one or two activities like parasailing or snorkeling. Other than that it would be just money for alcoholic drinks and souvieners. How much money should I plan on bringing with me?

I don’t know of any other country employing this system of categorisation. What benefits does it have in a law enforcement context? Does the system have any disadvantages? Are there fixed sentences for specific crimes set on a nationwide basis or state by state? Can anybody suggest a good website providing basic information about the US legal system?

I’m planning on applying to a top MBA program in Europe, focusing on entrepreneurship. I have a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, and finishing up my MS from the University of Notre Dame while working full time in an aerospace company and doing research for the university. My engineering work experience extends from project engineer, lead designer to systems engineer. (2+ yrs) My biggest concern is the lack of finance, accounting, marketing, and management experience. What is the perception of US engineering students by top business schools in Europe? With my background (2-3 yrs experience), is it easier to get into a top MBA program in Europe or in the US?

I’ve never understood why people think it needs one? Why can’t people just enjoy life? Why does there need to be some big mystical meaning for it all? Why can’t it just be life?

I mean, sure, its good to have a meaning on an individual basis, but that has nothing to do with philosophy or theology and everything to do with what you enjoy doing. Family. Friends. Hobbies. Anything you’re passionate about.

Why do people feel there needs to be a big, philosophical, across-the-board meaning for Life? Why can’t you just worry about your meaning for your life?

There are these commercials all over TV, made by the organization WWF(world wildlife foundation) and they want us to send money to "help" these polar bears that are dying due to global warming. How can sending money possibly help with global warming?! Shouldn’t they be commercials for recycling or not driving a hummer or something that would really help? Aren’t we just paying for more useless commercials? How would we stop global warming by sending them money? They don’t elaborate on how we could help.

How would banning the death penalty affect us in our everyday life?

These are my thoughts.
1. It could save us tax dollars, believe it or not, the death penalty costs more than life imprisonment. The whole process for a death penalty, from going to the supreme court, the attorneys, and even the injection altogether brings the total cost millions of dollars, for one person.
A life in prison however costs approximetely twenty thousand a year if I’m correct.
That’s one way i can see it affecting us everyday life Americans, can you guys think of any other way this can affect us?
