How to save your website statistics when you want to change the host?

I am planning to move my website but i am fearing I will lose all my website statistics and hence loose popularity. I have records of mywebsite for the past few years which shows the user trends etc. Is there a way to retrieve those records and move it to the new host? I looked into the directory but i don’t know where they can be. Talked to the host company they are not sure. They say it will be lost. Any help?

You’ll have to look at the code on the site to see where the statistics are stored. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s in a database. If it’s MySQL, the easiest way is to install phpMyAdmin (http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/downloads.php ) and export your database. Put that file on your new hosting, install phpMyAdmin there and import.
