How much is the Droid on verizon for the monthly data service?

I heard that the "unlimited" data plan still makes u pay everytime you visit a webpage. Is this true and does this include facebook and youtube?

    Absolutely not true.

There is no additional charge for visiting any web page (unless it’s a subscription site that you join, obviously) streaming music from pandora, grooveshark, using facebook, youtube, Gtalk, Yahoo messenger, email etc or any other thing you do over the internet.

old-style "text messages" are a different story – You will need a messaging plan if you want to communicate using SMS or MMS messages with "lesser" phones. :)

To answer your question on price, it’s going to cost you $30/month for unlimited data, plus your minutes plan at a minimum of $40/month. Plus text messaging if you want it. (unless you are on a family plan, then you can keep that plan and just add the $30/month for data.
